Zendesk Talk Pricing
Zendesk Talk pricing is the one Zendesk bill that moves on its own. The licence is bundled. The minutes are not, and that's where budgets go wrong.
Zendesk Talk pricing is two bills, not one
Almost every pricing question about Zendesk Talk comes from missing this. Voice has two separate cost components and they don't behave anything alike.
The licence. Talk is bundled into the Zendesk Suite, so if you are on Suite Team at $55 per agent per month billed annually, or Suite Professional at $115, or Suite Enterprise at $169, you already have Talk. Figures checked August 2026, at list.
The usage. Minutes and phone numbers are consumption charges billed on top. They're metered, they vary by country and by whether the call is inbound, outbound or a transfer, and they don't appear on the plan comparison table at all.
We hold no verified per-minute rate, so this page will not quote one. Anyone who does is guessing. Get the current rates from Zendesk's own pricing and the Talk number and minute pricing it links to, for the specific countries you actually call.
What the Talk tier controls
Talk itself has capability levels that track the Suite ladder, and the features that matter operationally sit higher up.
The pattern is the same as everywhere else in Zendesk. The bottom tier makes the channel work. The middle tier makes it manageable. The top tier makes it auditable. If you're running a genuine call centre rather than a phone line, you'll want at least the middle.
For the product side rather than the money, Zendesk Talk and voice covers setup, and Zendesk call centre software covers whether Talk is the right tool at all.
Talk Partner Edition
A different product with a confusingly similar name, and worth understanding before you buy anything.
Talk Partner Edition is for teams who already have a telephony provider they are keeping. Rather than moving your voice onto Zendesk, it integrates your existing system so that calls create tickets, agents see customer context, and voice activity lands in Zendesk reporting alongside every other channel.
That's the right answer for a lot of organisations. If you've a contact centre platform with routing your operations team depends on, or a carrier contract with years left, ripping it out to use Talk is a large project with a small payoff. Partner Edition gets you the integration without the migration.
It's licensed separately from standard Talk. We hold no verified rate for it, so ask your rep, and ask specifically whether it's per agent or per integration.
Why the bill surprises people
Four reasons, and they compound.
The single most useful thing you can do is set a usage alert on day one and review actual minutes after the first full month. Forecasting voice usage from nothing is guesswork. Measuring it takes four weeks.
Budgeting for voice honestly
Do it in this order and you'll avoid the classic mistakes.
First, count the agents who will take calls, and remember Zendesk bills per seat across the account. Five agents on Suite Professional is $6,900 a year at list before a single minute of usage.
Second, estimate call volume and average handle time, then multiply by the current published rate for your countries. Add a generous margin, because first estimates of call length are always low.
Third, price the numbers you need, including the ones you'll forget.
Fourth, ask whether you need Talk at all, or whether Partner Edition alongside your existing telephony gets you the same reporting for less disruption. The full plan comparison has the seat side, and the pricing calculator handles the headcount arithmetic.
Frequently asked questions
What does Zendesk Talk cost per minute?
Zendesk Talk cost has two parts: the seat, bundled into the Suite, and the minutes, billed per use with the rate depending on country and number type. Zendesk voice pricing surprises people because only the first part appears in the plan table. Zendesk Talk Partner Edition swaps the second part for your own carrier's bill.
How does Zendesk Talk pricing work?
The licence is bundled into the Suite, which starts at $55 per agent per month billed annually on Suite Team, checked August 2026. Minutes and numbers are metered on top and vary by country.
What's the Zendesk Talk per-minute rate?
It depends on country, direction and call type, and we hold no verified figure, so we won't quote one. Get the current rates from Zendesk for the specific countries you call.
Is Zendesk Talk included in my plan?
Yes on every Suite tier. Support Team at $19 is ticketing only, without the full Suite channels, so voice is not included there.
What is Talk Partner Edition?
A licence for teams keeping their existing telephony provider. It integrates that system into Zendesk for tickets, context and reporting instead of moving voice onto Talk. Priced separately.
Why was our first Talk bill higher than expected?
Usually hold and queue minutes, international rates, or numbers nobody counted. Metered lines have no ceiling until you set an alert, so set one before you go live.
A call and an email about the same problem
Voice creates duplicates too: the customer phones, then emails to chase. Ticket Merger merges the pair automatically.
