Zendesk Pricing, Explained

The list price is the easy part. What moves the total is which plan you truly need, how many seats you buy, and the add-ons that aren't in the table.

Zendesk plans, per agent per month

List prices billed annually, checked August 2026. Month-to-month billing costs more.

PlanBilled annuallyWhat it is for
Support Team$19Ticketing only. No full Suite channels.
Suite Team$55The usual starting point for a customer support team.
Suite Professional$115Routing, SLAs and Explore reporting. Where most growing teams land.

What actually drives your bill

  • Seats, not usage. Zendesk charges per agent, so your bill grows every time you hire. This is the opposite of how ticket volume behaves and it's the single biggest planning mistake teams make.
  • The plan jump. The gap between Suite Team and Suite Professional is large. Most teams move up for SLAs, skills-based routing or Explore, so work out which of those you genuinely need before you assume the middle tier.
  • Add-ons. AI features, advanced data privacy, extra sandboxes and workforce management sit outside the base price. Ask for the all-in number, itemised.
  • Annual commitment. Annual billing is cheaper than month to month, which is the discount you're paying for with flexibility.

You pay that per seat whether the ticket is real or a duplicate of one you already answered. Ticket Merger removes the duplicates before they reach an agent, so the seats you already pay for go further.

    Stop paying for duplicates

The line item nobody puts in the business case

Per-agent pricing means you are paying for capacity, and duplicates consume capacity.

At Suite Professional and a 12% duplicate rate, roughly one agent in eight is fully occupied handling tickets that should not exist. On a fifteen-agent team that is close to two seats, or more than $20,000 a year at list price, spent answering questions you already answered.

You don't fix that by negotiating the licence. You fix it by removing the duplicates, which costs a fraction of one seat.

    Frequently asked questions

How much does Zendesk cost per agent?+

Suite Team is $55 and Suite Professional is $115 per agent per month billed annually. Support Team, which is ticketing only, is $19. Enterprise is quoted by sales.

Does Zendesk have a free plan?+

No. There is a free trial but no permanent free tier. Freshdesk and HubSpot Service Hub both offer free tiers for up to 2 users.

Is Zendesk cheaper if you pay annually?+

Yes. Zendesk publishes annual rates and month-to-month costs more, so the published figure assumes a twelve-month commitment.

Can we reduce the cost without dropping a plan?+

Buy fewer seats by reducing the work. Cutting the 8% to 20% of tickets that are duplicates is the version of that which does not degrade service.

Make the seats you already pay for go further

Ticket Merger removes duplicate tickets before an agent opens them, from $29/month for 10,000 tickets.
