Service Hub Integrations

The advantage of a CRM-native helpdesk is that you need fewer integrations. The ones you still need are worth choosing carefully.

What you no longer need

This is the point of running support inside HubSpot: no CRM integration, no contact sync, no reconciling two versions of one customer, no separate reporting join.

Teams moving from a standalone helpdesk are often surprised how many integrations simply disappear.

What you still want

Slack, for alerting and raising tickets from messages.
Jira, so engineering escalations do not live in copy-paste.
Your product or billing system, so agents see account state without switching tabs.
Telephony, if you take calls, so a call leaves a record.
A dedupe tool, because HubSpot own duplicate management covers contacts and companies, not tickets.

Before you install

Check what data it reads and writes. An app with write access to contacts can create duplicates at scale.
Check who maintains it and when it was last updated.
Prefer apps that remove a step over apps that display information.
Review installed apps quarterly, and remove what nobody uses.

Frequently asked questions

Does Service Hub need a CRM integration?+

No, and that is the main structural advantage. The CRM is the same system.

Can marketplace apps create duplicate records?+

Yes, particularly any app with write access that creates a record when it cannot find a match. Check that behaviour before installing.

The integration HubSpot does not have

Duplicate management for tickets. Ticket Merger covers Zendesk and Freshdesk today, with HubSpot next.
